10/07/2017: Approximately 30 assailants torched construction equipment at a construction site in Dungeg, Santa Teresita, Cagayan, Philippines. There were no reported casualties, though two employees were briefly held hostage during the attack. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation to DDP Construction Company's quarrying in the area because it led to the destruction of a large amount of rice farm irrigation systems.
