Incident Summary:

10/06/2017: An improvised explosive device detonated targeting a military vehicle in Pangilihan, Janiuay, Iloilo, Philippines. Six soldiers and one civilian were injured in the blast. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in response to military operations carried out in the area. The NPA accused military personnel of taking civilian hostages and intimidating people, and stated that security personnel were responsible for the deaths of four civilians in Capiz.
