09/27/2017: Assailants opened fire on German Gabat, a deputy police chief, and his associates near a shopping mall in Polomolok, South Cotabato, Philippines. Gabat was killed and five others were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attaack to Ansar Al-Khilafa (Philippines).
