09/11/2017: Assailants, including suicide bombers equipped with explosives-laden vehicles, attacked military personnel in Qasabat ar Rai, Nineveh, Iraq. At least 12 people, including three assailants and nine soldiers, were killed in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
