Incident Summary:

09/02/2017: Assailants armed with machetes attacked Pygmy civilians in Vemba, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Five people were killed and one person was injured in the attack. Four people were also abducted, and the outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).
