08/27/2017: Assailants attacked Thayet-oat village in Maungdaw district, Rakhine, Myanmar. There were no reported casualties in the ensuing clash with Border Guard Forces (BGF) officers. This was one of 17 coordinated incidents in Maungdaw district on the same day. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Muslim extremists.
