08/25/2017: Assailants abducted 10 construction workers and held them hostage in Mimbalite, Gingoog, Misamis Oriental, Philippines. The hostages were released five hours later. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People's Army (NPA).
