08/19/2017: An explosive device detonated in the Chowk Bazaar neighborhood in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. There were no reported casualties, but several shops were damaged in the blast. The Gorkha Liberation Army (GLA) claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources also attributed the attack to the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM), which denied involvement, and Maoists.
