08/12/2017: Assailants attacked an Iraqi Volunteer Forces outpost near the Syrian border in Nineveh governorate, Iraq. At least nine assailants were killed and four assailants were injured as security forces repelled the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
