08/01/2017: Assailants attacked security checkposts in Kotwal, Uruzgan, Afghanistan. At least 20 people, including five police officers and 15 assailants, were killed and nine others, including two police officers and seven assailants, were injured in the ensuing clash. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
