08/01/2017: Two assailants opened fire on Lafikul Islam Ahmed at Titaguri Market near Kokrajhar, Assam, India. Ahmed, the All Bodo Minority Students' Union (ABMSU) president, was killed and a shopkeeper was injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, officials suspected that tribesmen may have carried out the attack.
