Incident Summary:

07/22/2017: Assailants opened fire on displaced farmers in Nyala, South Darfur, Sudan. Five farmers were killed and nine others were wounded in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Abbala extremists and stated that the attack was in retaliation for an incident that occurred the previous day in which a woman was injured.
