Incident Summary:

07/03/2017: An explosive device detonated near a Turkish Land Forces vehicle in Baskale district, Van, Turkey. Following the blast, assailants then fired rockets at the vehicle. At least one soldier was killed and another soldier was injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
