06/01/2017: A suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near Jalalabad airport in Jalalabad, Nangarhar, Afghanistan. In addition to the assailant, one soldier was killed and four people, including a soldier and three civilians, were injured in the blast. The Khorasan Chapter of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incident.
