Incident Summary:

05/29/2017: Assailants kidnapped two police officers in Shirin Tagab, Faryab, Afghanistan. Shortly after the abduction, the two officers attempted to escape captivity. Both of the officers and five assailants were killed and two assailants were injured in the ensuing clash. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
