05/29/2017: Assailants attacked an unknown number of popular mobilization forces (PMF) checkpoints along the road between Hadithah and Baiji in Al Anbar, Iraq. Security forces repelled the attack, killing and injuring an unknown number of assailants. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
