05/27/2017: Assailants attacked Tor Abaji members in Tse Igbe, Benue, Nigeria. Four people were killed, an unknown number of people were injured, and several houses were set on fire during the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for an earlier incident allegedly perpetrated by the Tor Abaji group.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
