Incident Summary:
05/16/2017: Assailants attacked anti-Balaka militia members in Bria, Haute-Kotto, Central African Republic. At least 36 people, including armed group members and civilians, were killed and 36 people were injured in the ensuing clashes that continued until May 19, 2017. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Popular Front for the Renaissance of the Central African Republic (FPRC).
