Incident Summary:

05/02/2017: An explosive device detonated near a Malian Army convoy between Dogofri and Nampala in Niono district, Segou, Mali. Following the blast, assailants then opened fire on the convoy. At least eight soldiers were killed and four other soldiers were injured in the attack. Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) claimed responsibility for the incident.
