02/07/2017: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated near an Iraqi Armed Forces checkpoint in Sakkar, Rutbah district, Al Anbar, Iraq. At least two soldiers were killed and two other soldiers were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
