07/12/2016: Assailants abducted Luis Eduado Zarate, a cattle farmer and merchant, from his farm in La Duda, Cesar, Colombia. Zarate was released as of July 14, 2016. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the kidnapping to the National Liberation Army of Colombia (ELN).
