Incident Summary:

07/09/2016: Assailants, including suicide bombers, raided Rann village in Kalabalge, Borno, Nigeria. At least seven residents, two soldiers, and 16 assailants were killed in the attack. After the assailants fled, security forces discovered and defused two explosive devices planted on the edge of the village intended to keep reinforcements from arriving. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Boko Haram.
