06/05/2016: Assailants armed with machetes stabbed and killed a Christian shopkeeper in Bonpara, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. The Islamic State in Bangladesh claimed responsibility for the attack; however, Bangladeshi officials refuted the claim. Sources also attributed the incident to Al-Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent and Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
