05/29/2016: An explosive device detonated near a military checkpoint along Biu-Damboa road at the outskirts of Biu, Borno, Nigeria. At least five people, including a soldier, were killed and three people were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
