Incident Summary:

04/05/2016: Assailants abducted two civilians in Yala, Thailand. One of the hostages Renu Chitban, was taken to another location while the other hostage, Sunan Thongnet, was forced to drive an explosives-laden vehicle to a Toyota vehicle showroom. Police forces defused the explosive devices. Thongnet escaped from the assailants while Chitban was later released. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
