Incident Summary:
03/25/2016: A suicide bomber detonated at a security checkpoint in Buraiqeh, Adan, Yemen. This was one of four coordinated attacks in Adan on the same day and one of two attacks with related casualties. In addition to the assailants, 12 people were killed across the two blasts. The Adan-Abyan Province of the Islamic State claimed responsibility for the incidents. A source also attributed the attacks to Huthi extremists.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2
