Incident Summary:

03/16/2016: Assailants attacked the residence of Ahmad Ali Amran, a tribal chieftain and local council member, in Anss, Dhamar, Yemen. Two of Amran’s family members were injured and Amran and his son were abducted during the assault. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah).
