02/22/2016: Assailants threw a grenade at the Kamenge Market in Kamenge neighborhood, Bujumbura, Bujumbura Mairie province, Burundi. At least one person was killed and two others were wounded in the blast. This was one of two grenade attacks at markets in Bujumbura on the same day. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
