Incident Summary:

12/31/2015: Assailants abducted 20 Egyptian civilians in Zillah city, Jufra district, Libya. All 20 hostages were released on January 16, 2016. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources suspected that the attack was carried out by the Fezzan Province of the Islamic State. The attack was also attributed to Gaddafi loyalists.
