Incident Summary:

12/26/2015: Assailants opened fire on an Afghan Local Police (ALP) checkpoint in Pir Koti area, Urgun district, Paktika province, Afghanistan. At least eight people, including one officer and seven assailants, were killed and 12 others, including one officer and 11 assailants, were injured in the ensuing clash. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
