Incident Summary:

12/17/2015: Assailants attacked Peshmerga soldiers in Kasik, Nineveh governorate, Iraq. More than 10 assailants were killed and an unknown number of others were injured in the ensuing clash. This was one of three coordinated incidents near Sinjar on the same day. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
