Incident Summary:

12/17/2015: Security forces identified and killed three suicide bombers in explosives-laden vehicles attempting to target Peshmerga soldiers in Al-Khazer, Nineveh governorate, Iraq. Following the unsuccessful suicide attack, additional assailants engaged the soldiers. At least 15 assailants were killed and 16 others were injured in the incident. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
