Incident Summary:

11/22/2015: Assailants opened fire on soldiers escorting construction workers who were responding to an earlier incident in Bungabong village, Sultan Mastura town, Maguindanao province, Philippines. An assailant was killed and seven others, including two soldiers and five assailants, were injured in the ensuing clash. This was one of two related incidents that occurred at the project site in Bungabong village on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).
