Incident Summary:

10/26/2015: Assailants abducted 31 United Nations Mission in the Republic of South Sudan (UNMISS) peacekeepers north of Malakal city, Upper Nile state, South Sudan. Eighteen peacekeepers were released on October 29, 2015 and the remaining 13 peacekeepers were released on November 1, 2015. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Sudan People's Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO).
