Incident Summary:
09/01/2015: Assailants attacked the private residence of an Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) operation commander in Kalende village, Walikale district, North Kivu province, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least 16 people, including five soldiers, ten assailants, and one civilian were killed in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR).
