Incident Summary:

08/00/2015: Sometime between August 16, 2015 and August 22, 2015, assailants abducted Walid al-Mosoli from an unknown location in Iraq. Al-Mosoli, a telecommunications engineer for a state-run television network, was killed on August 25, 2015. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Sources stated that the victim was killed because he worked for the government.
