Incident Summary:
07/02/2015: Assailants fired projectiles that landed and detonated in Aleppo city, Aleppo governorate, Syria. This was one of seven projectile attacks in and around Aleppo on the same day. At least four people were killed and 70 others were injured across all seven incidents. Ansar al-Sharia Operations Room (Syria) claimed responsibility and stated that the attack in retaliation for the deaths of innocent families. However, sources attributed the incidents to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
