Incident Summary:
05/30/2015: Assailants opened fire and launched mortars in Al Mufti neighborhood, Hasakah city, Al Hasakah governorate, Syria. This was one of two projectile attacks in Hasakah on the same day. At least ten people were killed across both incidents. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
