05/17/2015: Assailants abducted Casey Coombs, a United States journalist, from his residence in Sanaa city, Amanat Al Asimah governorate, Yemen. Coombs was released on June 1, 2015. Huthis claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that Casey Coombs was targeted because his visa had been expired. Sources also posited that Coombs was accused of espionage.
