05/16/2015: An explosive device detonated outside Mar Girgis Church in Tamiyah city, Faiyum governorate, Egypt. There were no reported casualties, but the church was damaged in the blast. A second explosive device was discovered and safely defused at the scene following the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Muslim fundamentalists.
