Incident Summary:
05/07/2015: Assailants attacked the residence of Hajji Mullah Omar, the governor of Khwaja Gharo district, in Hazar Bagh area, Khawja Ghar district, Takhar province, Afghanistan. Omar was unharmed in the attack, but at least 15 assailants were killed and one of Omar's bodyguards was injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed it to the Taliban.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
