Incident Summary:

03/29/2015: Assailants opened fire on a Philippine Army (PA) ambulance transporting injured soldiers from a previous encounter in Elian village, Maguindanao province, Philippines. At least two soldiers were killed in the assault. This was one of three attacks on soldiers in Maguindanao carried out by the same group on this date. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM).
