01/27/2015: Assailants attacked peshmerga forces in Sinjar district, Nineveh governorate, Iraq. Three peshmerga members were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
