Incident Summary:

01/11/2015: Assailants fired a mortar that struck houses near the Education Department building in Filastin area, Muqdadiyah district, Diyala governorate, Iraq. This was one of two similar incidents in the area at the same time. At least two people were killed and eight people were injured across both attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
