Incident Summary:
12/13/2014: Assailants opened fire on civilian mine clearers between Shorabak and Nad Ali districts, Helmand province, Afghanistan. Nearby Afghan soldiers responded by opening fire at the attackers after the initial gunfire. At least 15 people, including three assailants and 12 civilians, were killed and six other people were injured in the ensuing clash. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
