12/02/2014: Assailants kidnapped a lieutenant colonel in Baajah area, Shirqat district, Saladin governorate, Iraq. This was one of three similar abductions in the area on the same day. The outcome of the kidnappings is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
