11/15/2014: Assailants kidnapped 40 truck drivers and traders traveling on the road between Hadithah and Baiji in Iraq. Four captives were killed and the remaining 36 hostages were released the following day. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
