11/11/2014: Assailants kidnapped Ahmad Ali Isa al-Warfalli, the chair of the management committee for the Man-Made River Commission, and his nephew in Sirte city, Sirte district, Libya. Al-Warfalli's nephew was released shortly after the abduction; Al-Warfalli was released on January 1, 2015. No group claimed responsibility for the incident.
