Incident Summary:

11/11/2014: Assailants opened fire on a Frontier Corps (FC) checkpost in Sherin Darra area, Orakzai agency, Federally Administered Tribal Areas, Pakistan. At least 17 people, including two FC soldiers and 15 assailants, were killed and six FC soldiers were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to both Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Islam (Pakistan).
