10/10/2014: Assailants hijacked two khat vehicles and kidnapped five people in Kiunga town, Lamu county, Kenya. The whereabouts of the victims were unknown. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation to Kenya's military involvement in Somalia.
